Al-Khair Foundation generally designs its project plans with the aim of ensuring food security for the ultra-poor. Since its establishment, the foundation has been tirelessly working to provide adequate assistance to the impoverished during the holy month of Ramadan. Over the past three years, Al-Khair Foundation has conducted its Ramadan programs in three distinct segments: distribution of food packages, provision of iftar meals, and distribution of Eid gifts. Additionally, every year, the foundation places significant emphasis on distributing Qurbani meat among underprivileged communities during Eid-ul-Adha.

• Food Packages: Al-Khair Foundation prioritizes distributing essential grocery items in its food assistance program. At the beginning of Ramadan, these food packages are distributed among the impoverished. In 2022, 2023, and 2024, the foundation provided food aid to 16,100 families, as mentioned earlier. During the same period, food assistance also reached 3,625 families in the Rohingya camps.
• Iftar: To ensure that the impoverished can break their fast with dignity after a long day of fasting, Al-Khair Foundation runs a month-long iftar distribution program during Ramadan. Over the past three years, the foundation has distributed a total of 102,500 iftar packs.
• Eid Gifts: During Ramadan, Al-Khair Foundation distributes Eid gift packages across various regions of Bangladesh. In times of inflation, many struggle to meet daily expenses before Eid. Therefore, the foundation joyfully undertakes the task of sharing the Eid celebration with everyone. These gift packages are distributed two to three days before Eid, aiming to ensure that disadvantaged families can fully enjoy the festivities. The packages include vermicelli, powdered milk, sugar, fragrant rice, spices, new sarees, lungis, and attar. Through this initiative, Al-Khair Foundation managed to spread the joy of Eid to a total of 6,000 families, benefiting around 30,000 ultra-poor individuals from 2022 to 2024. During the same period, special Eid gifts were distributed among 1,000 children.

Our program has a food pack of 2,000 to 6,000 taka, Eid gift of 2,500 taka and Iftar of 100 taka per person.
